Our local newspaper, The Transcript, had an article a while back with pictures of the children who worked in those mills and that article was one I always remembered. My husband and I live in Adams, MA and often take Sunday rides up through Pownal and whenever we are up there, I think about those children of the early 20th century. Your book brought understanding to what it must have been for them and I couldn't put it down until I finished reading it. I look forward to reading more of your books in the future.
